# Create a SAST rule

To create a SAST rule:

1. Select **User menu** > **Policies & Rules** from the left sidebar.
2. Select **SAST RULES**.
3. Click **Create SAST Rule**.
4. Enter the SAST rule in the yaml format.

5. Click **Save** to save the rule.
